On Tuesday, Lindale made easy work of Athens and carried off a 3-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-7, 25-10.
Meanwhile, Canton beat Mabank 3-1 on Tuesday.
The final score came out to 25-12, 23-25, 25-11, 25-19.
Canton's win came from a few key players Lindale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Peyton Goodon, who had 17 digs and five assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Alexander, who had 13 assists and seven digs.
Lindale's win bumped their record up to 27-13. As for Canton, their victory bumped their record up to 26-14.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Lindale has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Canton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
