The Thunderbird Titans suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 59-20 loss at the hands of Paradise Honors. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Thunderbird has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paradise Honors to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Van Dyke, who scored ten points along with seven assists and four steals. Van Dyke is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Jocelyn Leal was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Thunderbird's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Paradise Honors, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Thunderbird will take on Yuma at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Yuma is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Paradise Honors, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Shadow Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Shadow Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Paradise Honors is ranked 63rd).
