She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  eight innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   11  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs.
 In other batting news,  Aby Lambert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. She also put up an  RBI, which was her first of the season.  Danna Dyer was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hillsboro-Deering's offense. They lost  18-0 to St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday. The  game marked the first time this year in which the Hillcats were not able to get on the board.
 Somersworth's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Hillsboro-Deering, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
