Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Varnado). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging an 80-33 win over the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Varnado and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Mt. Hermon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Varnado won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Holden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Varnado is facing Holden at the right time seeing as Holden is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mt. Hermon, they and Albany will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Albany will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Mt. Hermon surely won't give up without a fight.
