The Charlotte Christian Knights will challenge the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Charlotte Christian 3.2, Metrolina Christian Academy 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
While Charlotte Christian's victory against Charlotte Country Day School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Buccaneers a 2-0 shutout on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted against the Buccaneers since April 13, 2021.

03/21/25 @ James Island | 2 |
03/27/25 @ Providence Day | 2 |
03/11/25 vs Lexington | 3 |
02/26/25 vs Desert View | 4 |
The result came thanks to Jack Beard's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
On the hitting side, Charlotte Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Witt McCammon, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Jack McGrath also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Meanwhile, Metrolina Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Concord Academy as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 12 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Bryson Josey looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Metrolina Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Jacob Seamon, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Seamon has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Lerch, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Metrolina Christian Academy's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Charlotte Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Charlotte Christian came up short against Metrolina Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 4-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
