In what's become a running theme this season, the Milton Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Alpharetta 69-32 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Milton who now have six in a row.
Nya Smith was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Smith is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Caroline Young, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Milton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Alpharetta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton on the road again on Tuesday and play against West Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. West Forsyth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Milton is ranked 24th). As for Alpharetta, they will head out on the road to take on Sprayberry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
