The Argos Dragons will challenge the Peru Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Argos took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Elkhart Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.
Ivy Stackhouse made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Argos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Peru can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Northfield.
Like Argos, Peru also got a great game from a two-way player: Bailee - 'Boo' Kintner. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Kintner was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Marlee Honn was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with three runs. Another player making a difference was Molly Mann, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Argos' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-7. As for Peru, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Argos' speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Dragons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Peru, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Argos continue to outrun the ball?
Argos might still be hurting after the 13-2 defeat they got from Peru in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Dragons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
