Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Bucktail Bucks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to Northwest Area 36-30. Bucktail just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Northwest Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Stevens, who picked up 25 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jace Mccoy, who threw for 178 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes.
Bucktail's loss was their third straight at home , which bumped their record down to 5-5. As for Northwest Area, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
Bucktail does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northwest Area will head out on the road to face off against Muncy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muncy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
