The Timothy Christian Trojans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-41 victory over Southland College Prep. The victory was just what Timothy Christian needed coming off of a 70-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Alex Keizer was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Roemmich, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Timothy Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Southland College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timothy Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Aurora Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Trojans in Illinois (the Eagles are ranked 158th, while the Trojans are ranked 436th). As for Southland College Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Knights at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
