In what's become a running theme this season, the Wellsville Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Osawatomie, posting a 68-30 victory on the road. Given Wellsville's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Trojans are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasper Sallee, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Stevenson, who scored four points along with two steals.
Wellsville's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Osawatomie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellsville will challenge the Chargers on Monday. As for Osawatomie, they will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
