The Belen Eagles pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lovington. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (57), Belen still had to take the loss.

As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Navarro, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Kayle Covington was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds for Lovington. Covington has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Demarcus Thompson jr was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
