If the Redlands Adventist Academy Bulldogs were riding high off their 56-34 takedown of the Milo Adventist Academy Mustangs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Redlands Adventist Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 61-60 to the Sharks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), Redlands Adventist Academy still had to take the loss.
Redlands Adventist Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Micah Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 20 rebounds. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Calhoun, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds.
Redlands Adventist Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for Puget Sound Adventist, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redlands Adventist Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. River Springs Charter School Magnolia will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Puget Sound Adventist, they will head out on the road to square off against the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
