Several Mohawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grady Combs, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Combs has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Aiden Grooms was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Madison has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Preble Shawnee, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison and Carlisle will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Carlisle's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Madison has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
