Munster is 8-2 against Lowell since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will take on the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Munster will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against Kankakee Valley on Monday. The Mustangs blew past the Kougars 11-1. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Kougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Ally Compton spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caroline Wendlinger, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Milania Munoz also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Munster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kankakee Valley only posted a batting average of .056.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lowell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Highland on Monday as they made off with a 9-3 victory.
Lowell also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Olivia Fuentes gave up just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks.
On the hitting side, Preslee Hill was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Isobella Vaught was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
Munster's record now sits at 9-3. As for Lowell, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Munster was able to grind out a solid victory over Lowell when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
