The St. John Fighting Herald have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Bloomfield Cardinals at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Bloomfield took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on St. John, who comes in off a win.
 Last Monday, St. John earned  a  7-2 victory over Bristol.
  Isabelle Holler was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Holler was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Holler wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Mary West, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1. Another player making a difference was  Nadia Lagoa, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Bloomfield had to hit the road for their first game and  sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Badger by a score of  8-7 last Thursday. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bloomfield in their matchups with Badger: they've now lost five in a row.
 St. John  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-2. As for Bloomfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
 St. John took their  win against Bloomfield  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  12-5. Will St. John repeat their success,  or does  Bloomfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
