Baseball Recap: Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Takes a Loss

If Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] was feeling good fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell just short of the Argenta-Oreana Bombers by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Bombers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kahle Lee put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Chase Rhode made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Caden Logan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Argenta-Oreana, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] will be playing at home against Neoga at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Argenta-Oreana, they will venture away from home to take on Cerro Gordo/Bement at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bombers are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
