Westran had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They blew past the Community Trojans, posting a 75-22 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.

Westran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marshall Kitchen led the charge by going 5 of 10 en route to 11 points along with eight boards and four steals. What's more, Kitchen also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Brody Kallmeyer was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points.

Westran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Westran's record now sits at 9-2. As for Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
