It was a good run, but Wayne County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to the Pulaski County Maroons 53-49. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their loss to the Maroons from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pulaski County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Boyle County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Pulaski County will take on Henry Clay in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
