The Bolivar Liberators lost against the Rolla Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Bolivar received a tough blow as they fell 65-49 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Bolivar can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 14th).
Rolla's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kori Alcorn, who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Alcorn is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Resa Martin, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Bolivar has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Rolla, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Bolivar will square off against the Lakers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rolla, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Waynesville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
