Suffolk Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jeremy "LJ" Smith and Luke Ott. Smith scored five points, while Ott scored 17 points. The contest was Ott's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Chai Toxey was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Amari Banks was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Suffolk Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Portsmouth Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Suffolk Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Summit Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece. As for Portsmouth Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hampton Roads Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th.
