Windsor Locks has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Somers Spartans at 6:45 p.m. on February 7th. Hopefully Windsor Locks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Windsor Locks strolled past Sports & Medical Sciences Academy with points to spare, taking the game 54-40.
Windsor Locks can attribute much of their success to Jasmine Hurdle, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Maeve McGinnis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McGinnis has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Somers entered their tilt with Suffield with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Somers secured a 51-46 W over Suffield on Monday.
Windsor Locks is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Somers, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
Windsor Locks lost to Somers on the road by a decisive 60-45 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Windsor Locks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
