It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Douglass had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Largo Lions 75-73. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Douglass to victory, but perhaps none more so than Naiy'Lah Crutchfield, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Crutchfield has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Thomas, who posted 21 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Douglass' win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Largo, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 16-5 record.
