The Decatur Red Raiders lost against the Cullman Bearcats last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Decatur fell 57-48 to the Bearcats.
Decatur lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jennifer Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Bailey, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Decatur has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season. As for Cullman, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
Decatur does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cullman will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pell City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday.
