Stagg is 8-2 against McNair since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Delta Kings will welcome the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McNair will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Stagg extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Delta Kings never let Weston Ranch get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Give the Delta Kings' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Aerie Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rachael Symoungkhoune, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Alexus Short, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Stagg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weston Ranch only posted an OBP of .133.
Meanwhile, McNair came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Franklin with a sharp 12-6 win on Tuesday.
Like Stagg, McNair also got a great game from a two-way player: Jazmine Enriquez. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Enriquez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Naohmi Tapia was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Celina Valadez, who scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-4.
McNair now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Stagg, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Stagg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. However, it's not like McNair struggles in that department as they've averaged .375. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stagg took their win against McNair in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Delta Kings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
