Pine Grove had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Mid Valley Spartans get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Monday. The Cardinals are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.
The result came thanks to Jamie Dinger's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Callee Leffler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Addison Zimmerman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Pine Grove pushed their record up to 26-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.5 runs. As for Mid Valley, they moved to 22-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
