The Brushton-Moira Panthers lost against the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Brushton-Moira had to suffer through a rough 78-49 loss at the hands of Tupper Lake. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brushton-Moira in their matchups with Tupper Lake: they've now lost five in a row.
Thomas Peterson had an outrageously good game for Tupper Lake as he scored 41 points along with seven steals and five assists. The contest was Peterson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Corneau, who scored 11 points.
Brushton-Moira's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Tupper Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Brushton-Moira will head out on the road to face off against Colton-Pierrepont at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Colton-Pierrepont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Monday. As for Tupper Lake, they will be playing at home against St. Lawrence Central at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
