Leo put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Fremont Eagles with a sharp 18-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Patrick Drudy and Ethan Wudy did most of the damage at the plate: Drudy went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run, while Wudy went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave Drudy a new career-high. Nolan Butcher was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Leo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fremont only posted an OBP of .211.

Leo pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average this season. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Leo will challenge Norwell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fremont, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bronson at 5:30 p.m. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
