DuVal won the last time they met up with High Point, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. DuVal blew past High Point 35-6. The margin was wide but not a surprise since DuVal are ranked far ahead of High Point in the MaxPreps state rankings.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the DuVal offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. High Point countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 14-6 going into the half. DuVal put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The matchup brought them to 4-1 and dropped High Point to a mirror-image 1-4.
Next week DuVal take on Eleanor Roosevelt at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both of those teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. High Point will be staying on the road, facing off against Surrattsville. Surrattsville are limping into the game on a five-game losing streak.
