Two dominant guards in Tatiana Ramsey and Jakaylia Roland are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Deerfield Beach Bucks will head out on the road to challenge the Boyd Anderson Cobras at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Deerfield Beach lost to Palm Beach Lakes on the road by a decisive 47-32 margin.
Meanwhile, Boyd Anderson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Miami 48-10. While losing is never fun, Boyd Anderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while Miami is ranked 59th).
Amariah Tomlinson put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored four points.
Deerfield Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Boyd Anderson, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Deerfield Beach against Boyd Anderson in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 53-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Deerfield Beach since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
