Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilmington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sami Liaromatis, who posted 12 points in addition to five steals and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Liaromatis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Melia Hincherick, who had 13 points and five boards.
Wilmington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
Peotone played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They strolled past Streator with points to spare, taking the game 38-24. The game marked the Blue Devils' most dominant victory of the season.

Peotone's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Wilmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Wilmington has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Peotone struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Wilmington was able to grind out a solid victory over Peotone in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 41-30. Will Wilmington repeat their success, or does Peotone have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
