Champion won the last time they faced Brookfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Flashes came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 7-2.

The team relied heavily on Carter Boggs, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Carter Chapin was another key player, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Champion hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brookfield struck out six times.

Champion is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
