Madeleine Melgoza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.
