Basketball Recap: Temescal Canyon's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Temescal Canyon unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Mirage Rattlers. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Rattlers are ranked 159th).

Temescal Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Rancho Mirage, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temescal Canyon will take on Ontario Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Mirage and Eisenhower will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rancho Mirage's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
