Carrollton has won 33 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Auburn has won 33 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Hawks will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Carrollton 1.6, Auburn 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Carrollton proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Carlinville 3-2.

Hannah Uhles made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Daci Walls was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Carrollton lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, while Auburn put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Bluejays. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Meena Taylor, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Izzy Carlisle, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Jones, who went 3-for-4 with one run.
Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 27-0. As for Auburn, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carrollton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .458. However, it's not like Auburn struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carrollton was able to grind out a solid win over Auburn in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 5-2. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
