St. Martin hasn't had much luck against Ocean Springs recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The St. Martin Yellow Jackets will take on the Ocean Springs Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, St. Martin needed a bit of extra time to put away Biloxi. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 10-7.

Savannah Terrell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Madalynn Broussard was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Kiyara Lee was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
St. Martin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Ocean Springs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Admirals.
Kylie Untisz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.
At the plate, K'Lee Gum was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie McDonald, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Ocean Springs now has a winning record of 8-7. As for St. Martin, their record now sits at 8-6.
St. Martin came up short against Ocean Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-4. Can St. Martin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
