With a playoff win on the line, Riverside Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Riverside Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ascension Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-12.

Looking ahead, Riverside Academy will square off against Opelousas Catholic on Tuesday. The Vikings will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Ascension Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
