Madison Christian took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Thursday. Everything went their way against Genoa Christian Academy as they made off with an 11-5 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Reegan Bryan was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Rocco Price was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty Christian Academy). They came out on top against Northside Christian by a score of 5-2 on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Jackson Cecil and Dawson Kamppi made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cecil didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Kamppi struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). At the plate, Cecil went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double, while Kamppi went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that Cecil has hit this season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Widmer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That hit was his first of the season. Another was Drew Fye, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Liberty Christian Academy's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Madison Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.
Madison Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty Christian Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Will Madison Christian repeat their success, or does Liberty Christian Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
