Given St. Paul Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Derby is ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Seymour beat Torrington 40-36 on Friday.
