The Apalachee Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took a serious blow against Habersham Central, falling 42-15. Apalachee has struggled against Habersham Central recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Apalachee took the loss, they still got scores from Chris Swain and Prince Tate.
Leading Habersham Central to victory were Dj Pass and Zeke Whittington. Pass threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, while Whittington picked up 158 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Whittington was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.
Apalachee's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Habersham Central, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-5.
Apalachee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Habersham Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
