North Fayette Valley will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Union at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against North Fayette Valley, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
North Fayette Valley had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 21-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waverly-Shell Rock.
Meanwhile, Union took care of business in their home opener. They took their game against Beckman last Friday 26-13.
Union's win lifted them to 1-0 while North Fayette Valley's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Union can add another positive mark to their record or if North Fayette Valley can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Union's step.
