The Sebring Blue Streaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Hardee 49-18 at home. The win was just what Sebring needed coming off of a 62-10 loss in their prior contest.
Sebring's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shamari Jones, who scored nine points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Jane Zwayer, who scored 13 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hardee struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Sebring now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hardee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebring won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake Region at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Lake Region is ranked 318th, while Sebring is ranked 303rd). Hardee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Manatee at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Manatee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
