Conemaugh Valley and United are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Blue Jays will be playing at home against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. United took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Conemaugh Valley, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Conemaugh Valley needed a bit of extra time to put away Windber. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Ramblers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Jays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jeremy Dietz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 8.1 innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Heinlein, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. George Weimer was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Conemaugh Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, United unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Conemaugh Township, falling 10-3.
United saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dmitri Worthington, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI.
United's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Conemaugh Valley, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
