Blaise Lavista Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Blaise Lavista posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Libertyville over Lake Forest on Friday. Lavista wasn't messing around, picking up 230 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The contest was his eighth straight with two or more receiving touchdowns dating back to last season.
Lake Forest had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Lavista it was a similar story. When Lavista last faced the Scouts back in September of 2023, he picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Young Came Up Big in Mundelein's 35-0 Win
Logan Young put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 56 yards. He is becoming a predictor of Mundelein's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
Young and Mundelein will host Lake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Young will face off against Danny Van Camp, the Scouts' star signal caller. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.
