Even though The Jordan Falcons have not done well against the Northern Durham Knights recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jordan blew past Northern Durham 49-3 on the road. Given Jordan's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Northern Durham is ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Amareon Blue, who rushed for 207 yards while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Julian Littleton, who threw for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Jordan, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Northern Durham, their loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Jordan will head out on the road to face off against Hillside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillside is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Northern Durham, they will be playing at home against Riverside-Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
