Diablo Foothill recap November 5, 2013
Campolindo extended the longest winning streak in Diablo Foothill this week by beating Dougherty Valley, 49-14. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Cougars.
The Wildcats fell to Campolindo 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Austin Schmidig-wood in the defeat.
Dominic Paoletti had an awesome week catching the football as Miramonte beat Las Lomas. He caught 12 passes for 234 yards.
Drew Anderson threw for 385 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 25-37 with 2 interceptions.
Nick Fadelli was the best running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 145 yards as Kevin Macy's team bested the Knights. Teammate Conner McNally added to the ground attack by rushing for 73 yards.
Miramonte's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Matadors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Anderson has thrown for 2,378 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Paoletti has 46 catches for 862 yards.
The Cougars' Andrew Zolintakis is within 60 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Dublin. Accruing a total of 24 touchdowns this year, Zolintakis has thrown for 1,940 yards with 6 interceptions.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Campolindo takes on the Gaels. As it stands, the Cougars are in first, while Dublin is in sixth.
Campolindo led Diablo Foothill in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Nick Tisa's team. Zolintakis threw for 260 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 18 yards during the win.
