On Friday, Central Catholic really took it to Seneca Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-6 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Jayden Alexander was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 120 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Yasair Ismaeli got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Central Catholic, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Aiden Nasiadka, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Canon-McMillan and Norwin, and Norwin kept the tradition alive. The Big Macs fell just short of the Knights by a score of 24-21 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Big Macs have suffered since September 6, 2024.
Canon-McMillan's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Central Catholic has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177.1 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Canon-McMillan, though, as they've been averaging only 71.7 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything went Central Catholic's way against Canon-McMillan when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Central Catholic made off with a 38-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
