The Eagle's View Warriors had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.2 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Friday. They walked away with a 61-50 victory over Sarasota Christian.
Eagle's View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Williams led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Berry, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Sarasota Christian had strong showings from Ben Milliken, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Matthias Hulka, who scored 19 points. Hulka has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Frazzini, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Eagle's View's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Sarasota Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Eagle's View won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake Mary Prep on January 20th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Wade Brashears and Williams. Sarasota Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Seven Rivers Christian at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th.
