The Lemoore Tigers will square off against the Shafter Generals at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lemoore knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Shafter likes a good challenge.
Lemoore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Caruthers 19-1. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Natash Johnson was excellent, firing off four runs, three doubles, and one triple while going 4-for-4. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaylee Vazquez, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lemoore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Shafter was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Porterville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Generals.
Kamryn Munoz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Shafter's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Neveah Enriquez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Lemoore's win bumped their record up to 20-8-1. As for Shafter, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.
Lemoore beat Shafter 10-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Generals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
