The Cranston West Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Rogers Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
On Thursday, Cranston West faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Cranston West took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Barrington.
Despite the defeat, Cranston West got a solid performance out of Alyssa Robinson, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Buco, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Rogers' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 44-37 to East Providence.
Cranston West's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Rogers, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Cranston West came up short against Rogers in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 46-36. Can Cranston West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
