Softball Recap: Stratford Wins Going Away Against Platt RVT

Stratford never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Platt RVT on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Morgan Letizia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Shyan Rolle was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April. Carolyne Burlone was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Platt RVT, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Stratford will head out to take on Pomperaug at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Platt RVT, they will be playing at home against Hillhouse at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
